The history of Telugus, contemporary or ancient, had not been recorded as vividly as that of Tamils or Bengalis. This failure can be attributed partly to the non-serious attitude of Telugus about their own story. In recent times, there were a number of historic struggles in Telangana and North Coastal Andhra. Telangana peasants’ armed struggle and the Naxalite movement were recorded by some of those who were involved in the campaign. Some historians also wrote about it.
